Sample findings:
- In March 2010, just under half the population drink lager
regularly, but a third still drink the indigenous beers.
- Beer remains the leading alcohol category, with 46% of adults
drinking the lager style and 33% the traditional, indigenous types
(ale, stout etc).
- Unlike beer, the natural home of wine is traditionally the
restaurant, although it is increasingly stocked in quantity by
British households.
