- 47% of alcohol drinkers say most of their drinks budget is
spent on drinking at home.
- 95% of UK drinkers think that 'it doesn't hurt to have a drink
from time to time'.
- Vodka is the most popular spirit, drunk by 30% of adults, ahead
of Scotch (23%), while 39% of adults are involved in drinking at
least one of the other spirits or liqueurs.
- 75% of UK consumers view Guinness as a 'masculine' brand.
- Beer remains the leading alcohol category, with 46% of adults
drinking the lager style and 33% the traditional, indigenous types
(ale, stout etc).
