Breakfast Cereals
In 2009, the breakfast cereals market reached £1,502 million, an
increase of around 6% on the previous year. Even the though the
breakfast cereals market is mature, volume and value sales have
continued to increase, thanks to their convenience and perceived
health benefits, in line with ongoing consumer interest in managing
and improving health.
This report looks at the consumption of breakfast cereals within
the context of wider breakfast eating habits and in light of recent
revelations surrounding the sugar and salt content levels in many
of the UK's popular cereals.
