The June 2011 Shamppos & Conditioners report provides an
in-depth view on the shampoos and conditioners market in the UK. It
will examine usage patterns, attitudes, and shopping habits among
consumers across the UK.
The recent recession has had little negative impact on sales of
shampoos and conditioners, although price discounting and
promotions amongst the leading multiple retailers haves slowed
value sales. Larger sizes and value-added lines have performed well
as consumers look for ways to save money.
Difficult economic times have done little to stop the leading
brands from expanding their portfolios -it is not uncommon to find
a brand offering more than 15 sub-brands targeting every possible
hair requirement. As a result, brand loyalty is harder to come by
as people are swayed by choice and competitive price offers.
