The Wedding Market
This report looks at both weddings and civil partnership
ceremonies and includes those who are marrying or entering a civil
partnership for the first time as well as those who are remarrying.
This study looks at attitudes towards marriage and civil
partnership and examines whether weddings are becoming less
formal.
The analysis also considers what influences people's choices of
where, when and how they celebrate their big day, including the
type of ceremony they have, their choice of venue and how they pay
for it. It evaluates the buying behaviours of respondents regarding
venues, wedding wear, food, flowers, transport, photography,
stationery, entertainment and decorations, and whether couples are
compromising on certain aspects in order to cut costs because of
the current economic climate.
