convenience stores operated by major grocery companies which are
also in the business of convenient retailing, especially major
stores trading 24 hours a day.
Local store shopping is a broad term, covering a variety of
retail businesses meeting convenience needs. It includes formats
that have evolved from corner-shops and neighbourhood food stores
to specialist, purpose-built mini-supermarkets.
